Is This the Right Replacement Lamp?

This lamp is designed for compatible 1000W HPS systems and uses a single-ended E39 mogul screw base. For traditional ANSI-rated ballast systems, look for ANSI S52 on the ballast.

If your ballast is electronic or digital, confirm that it supports this type of 1000W HPS lamp. Electronic-ballast compatibility does not mean that every 1000W ballast is suitable.

Do not choose an HID lamp based only on wattage or socket size. The lamp must match the electrical requirements of the ballast. This screw-base lamp is not a replacement for a double-ended HPS lamp.

Important Compatibility Note

This is an HID lamp and must be operated with a compatible ballast and fixture. It is not a household light bulb and must not be connected directly to line voltage.

Turn off power and allow the lamp to cool before handling. Follow the lamp, ballast and fixture manufacturers’ installation instructions.
