Philips Ceramalux C250S50/ALTO 250W HPS Lamp – ANSI S50

The Philips Ceramalux C250S50/ALTO is a 250W high-pressure sodium replacement lamp for compatible ANSI S50 HPS lighting systems. It uses an E39 mogul base and produces the warm 2100K light characteristic of high-pressure sodium lighting.

This is a commercial-grade Philips Ceramalux lamp designed for dependable operation in compatible industrial, commercial and specialty HPS fixtures. It may also be used in older horticultural HPS equipment when the fixture and ballast specifically require a 250W ANSI S50 lamp with an E39 base.

This is not a purpose-built horticultural grow lamp. Its strongest use today is as an exact replacement for an existing compatible 250W HPS system.

Allow the lamp and fixture to cool before handling.
Do not operate a lamp with scratched, cracked or damaged outer glass.
Protect the lamp base, socket and wiring from moisture, corrosive atmospheres and excessive heat.
Do not connect the lamp directly to line voltage; a compatible HID ballast is required.
This lamp contains mercury and should be recycled or disposed of according to applicable regulations.
