The Super Sprouter AirMax Tray Insert fits inside a standard propagation tray and creates a raised, open platform that keeps plugs, small pots and compatible propagation media above water collecting in the tray below. Its mesh construction allows excess moisture to drain freely while air can circulate beneath the root zone.

That makes the AirMax especially useful for microgreens, clones and delicate plant propagation where moisture is necessary but constantly waterlogged roots are not.

For microgreens growers, the AirMax can be used as a raised drainage platform beneath compatible grow mats, plug systems or shallow propagation inserts. Excess irrigation can drain into the tray below rather than remaining trapped against the root zone, making it easier to manage moisture between waterings and maintain a cleaner, better-aerated propagation setup.

For clones and cuttings, it works especially well with Grodan Stonewool A-OK Starter Plugs and similar propagation media. The insert keeps cubes elevated above runoff while providing excellent airflow underneath, helping create the moist-but-aerated conditions young roots prefer.
