Sunblaster - T5 Replacement Bulbs

SunBlaster's T5 HO lamp produces a light of much greater strength than a conventional tube and, as a result, the energy input into the area being lit is much greater and the light penetration is far superior to anything previously available.

Please note that the 36" Extra Blue 10,000K bulb comes in a cardboard slip as it is a specialty item.

2700K – Warm White

• Spectral Profile: Dominated by red and orange wavelengths; low in blue.

• Colour Appearance: Soft, yellowish light (like traditional incandescent bulbs).

• Best For:

  • Flowering and fruiting stages of photoperiod-sensitive plants.

  • Encouraging bud and flower development due to high red spectrum.

  • Simulating autumn light indoors.

• Common Use Cases:

  • Late-stage growth in cannabis or tomatoes.

  • Houseplants that bloom under artificial light.

  • Residential mood lighting.

6400K – Cool Daylight

• Spectral Profile: Balanced full spectrum with emphasis on blue and some red; mimics midday sun.

• Colour Appearance: Bright, bluish-white.

• Best For:

  • Vegetative stage of plant growth.

  • Stimulating leaf and root development, compact growth, and chlorophyll production.

  • Propagation and seed starting.

• Common Use Cases:

  • Indoor grow tents during veg.

  • Microgreens, lettuce, and herbs.

  • Retail and office lighting with high visual clarity.

10000K – Blue-Enhanced Light

• Spectral Profile: High in blue and violet wavelengths; very low in red.

• Colour Appearance: Stark blue-white, resembling deep-sea or high-elevation sunlight.

• Best For:

  • Aquatic plant growth and reef aquariums (corals, anemones).

  • Supplemental blue for experiments with pigmentation and photomorphogenesis.

  • Some ornamental foliage colour enhancement.

• Cautions for Terrestrial Plants:

  • Not ideal as a primary grow light; plants require red wavelengths for balanced growth.

  • Can cause stretching or stunted flowering if used alone.

  • Mix with other bulbs to enhance variegation.
