What PRO-MIX HP CC is

PRO-MIX HP CC is a high-porosity peat-based mix with added chunk coco coir. It keeps the drainage and airflow of HP, but adds more structure and slightly increased moisture retention.

It does not contain nutrients. Like HP, it’s designed as a blank slate so you can control feeding from the start instead of working around pre-loaded fertilizers.

This makes it ideal for growers who want a bit more forgiveness in watering while still avoiding the problems that come with dense or overly wet soils.

• High drainage and airflow from the HP base
• Chunk coco adds structure and moisture buffering
• Holds slightly more water than standard HP
• No added nutrients – full control over feeding
• Still much harder to overwater than typical potting soil
• Contains mycorrhizae for improved root development

Bottom line: HP CC gives you the drainage of HP, with a bit more moisture retention and the same full control over nutrients.

HP vs HP CC (Which one should you use?)

PRO-MIX HP: Recommended for most growers. Dries faster and offers more aggressive drainage. Better if you tend to overwater or want tighter control.

PRO-MIX HP CC: Holds moisture a bit longer and has more structure. Better if your environment is dry or you don’t want to water as often.

In Calgary conditions: both work well, but HP is slightly safer for beginners, while HP CC is preferred by growers who already understand their watering habits.
