Eazy Plug

Eazy Plugs are pre-formed rooting and propagation plugs for starting seeds and rooting cuttings or clones. The bonded growing media holds together during propagation and transplanting, making seedlings and rooted cuttings easy to handle without loose media falling apart around the roots.

Eazy Plug uses a porous organic growing medium with predetermined pH, EC and air-to-water characteristics. Moisture spreads throughout the plug while the highly porous structure maintains air around developing roots.

As roots reach the outside of the plug, exposure to air naturally air prunes the root tips. This encourages additional root branching within the plug and helps produce a dense, fibrous root system.

What Can Eazy Plugs Be Transplanted Into?

Once rooted, Eazy Plugs can be transplanted directly into:

• Potting soil
• Coco coir
• Rockwool
• Peat-based growing media
• Soilless mixes
• Perlite-based mixes
• Hydroponic systems

Because the plug remains intact around the young root system, transplanting causes very little disturbance to newly developed roots.

Using Eazy Plugs for Seeds

Thoroughly moisten the plug and allow excess water to drain. Place the seed into the planting hole and maintain the temperature and humidity appropriate for the plant being germinated.

Keep the plug evenly moist during germination, but avoid leaving it continuously saturated.

Using Eazy Plugs for Cuttings and Clones

Moisten the plug thoroughly and allow excess water to drain before inserting the cutting into the propagation hole.

Maintain appropriate humidity and temperature while roots develop. Rooting gel or rooting powder can be used if desired, although Eazy Plug states that rooting hormones are not required for successful propagation.
