Gaia Green Organics Feeding Schedule

A simple soil preparation and top dressing guide for Gaia Green All Purpose 4-4-4 and Power Bloom 2-8-4. Choose the chart with the units you use.

How to read the rates: The amounts are based on the volume of potting soil or growing medium, not the amount of water. The additions listed as optional are separate from the main All Purpose and Power Bloom rates.

Imperial feed chart

Fertilizer rates are in tablespoons per US gallon of potting soil or growing medium.

Preparation	Before planting	Blend in 5–15% worm castings and 3 tbsp All Purpose 4-4-4 per gallon.	Per gallon: 2 tbsp Glacial Rock Dust; 1 tbsp Super Fly; 1 tbsp Greensand.
Vegetative	2 weeks after planting	Top dress with 2 tbsp All Purpose 4-4-4 per gallon.	Per gallon: 1 tbsp Feather Meal; 1 tbsp Glacial Rock Dust; 1 tbsp Super Fly.
Flowering	Every 2 weeks, stopping 3 weeks before harvest	Top dress with 2 tbsp Power Bloom 2-8-4 per gallon.	Per gallon: 1 tbsp Mineralized Phosphate; 1 tbsp Glacial Rock Dust.

Metric feed chart

Rates are rounded to easy-to-measure millilitres per litre of potting soil or growing medium. Measure dry products by volume.

Flowering	Every 2 weeks, stopping 3 weeks before harvest	Top dress with 8 mL Power Bloom 2-8-4 per litre.	Per litre: 4 mL Mineralized Phosphate; 4 mL Glacial Rock Dust.

Quick example: For a 10 L pot, the preparation rate is 120 mL All Purpose. A vegetative or flowering top dress is 80 mL of the listed main fertilizer. The optional additions are extra.

Application notes

Prepare the soil: Mix the preparation ingredients thoroughly, moisten the medium and let it sit for one week before planting.
Top dress: Gently work dry amendments into the top 1–2 inches (2.5–5 cm) of soil and water afterward. If roots make this difficult, mix the fertilizer with a little soil and spread it across the surface, away from the stem.
Watering: Keep the soil moist without leaving it overly wet. Limit runoff to retain nutrients and support soil biology.
